Good things come in small packages. In this case, Splashpower benefits from a proprietary Miniature Hydroelectric Generator, a game-changing advance that overcomes obstacles such as supplying power to difficult locations, battery-life, sealed power, and lamp ballasting. With Spashpower, manufacturers benefit from a differentiated product with lower production and warranty costs. Consumers benefit from an affordable, green and efficient source of power.
HYDROELECTRIC SOLUTIONS.
Splashpower has several turbine solutions: a low-cost Pelton wheel, a low-cost radial turbine, an inline axial turbine and a range of alternators. Design of the Pelton and inline wheel can be easily matched with alternator designs for the ultimate flexibility in application.
Freedom of Design
Hydroelectric generation provides design alternatives in place of those that require batteries, or in cases in which batteries fail to deliver enough power. Forgoing batteries opens many new possibilities. Where there is fluid flowing, Splashpower-adapted technology can deliver efficient power.
Green Solution
Splashpower is a friend to the environment. It provides clean power from a plentiful everyday resource, effectively harnessing water to perform double duty. Splashpower also means fewer batteries entering landfills; no need for replacements; and ultimately less environmental impact.
Multiple Load Support
Splashpower allows single or multiple power supply taps for a variety of design alternatives.
Ease of installation
Simplify installation and reduce startup costs by eliminating the need to connect to external power sources. Splashpower can also reduce overall maintenance costs by eliminating the need for battery replacements.
Elegant Design. Extended Product Life.
Splashpower eliminates the need for external power connections. Devices then become less susceptible to damage from improper handling or the environment.
Controlled Power
Maintaining a low power range can allow a product to be easily designed and at the same time benefit from fewer regulatory approval issues. High voltage applications can also be easily approved, since current can be easily limited, insulated and isolated.
Direct and Indirect Charging
Hydroelectric power can also be used to charge devices, capacitors and batteries. A product may be designed to store a charge while water is flowing, then discharge when specific use periods are required. An automatic flushing valve, for example, may be designed to charge a battery used to power a proximity sensor each time the valve is actuated. This valve can further be designed to automatically actuate, thereby charging the battery, if ever battery charge falls below a pre-defined threshold.
Safety
Splashpower may reduce the risk of electrical shock hazards. Isolated power and low voltage power may provide a safer implementation at the point of use.
Patent Protected
There are several core patents and related pending patent applications protecting the unique features of Splashpower technology.
